About this role
Stripe seeks a Sales Engineer (Presales) in Chicago to serve as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise clients, architecting complex payment solutions and driving strategic opportunities. You'll partner with C-level executives and engineering teams to design business models, conduct deep discovery, and shepherd deals through proof-of-concept to close.
What you'll do
- Build consultative relationships with C-level executives and technical decision makers to provide business and technical thought leadership
- Design end-to-end customer transformation journeys and solution architectures leveraging Stripe's platform capabilities and third-party integrations
- Conduct customer discovery, business analysis, and competitive research to inform solution strategy and executive presentations
- Lead proof-of-concept projects, feasibility studies, and solution demonstrations to secure technical wins
- Serve as voice of customer to product and engineering teams, bringing market insights and prioritized opportunities
- Expand Stripe's footprint within existing accounts across new geographies and business units with new capabilities
