About this role

Supabase seeks an Engineering Productivity Engineer to own the developer experience across the entire engineering lifecycle—from local setup through production deployment. You'll build and optimize the tools engineers use daily, eliminate friction in workflows, and establish metrics that drive continuous improvement in cycle time and code quality.

What you'll do

  • Own local development environment stability and reproducibility; ensure seamless onboarding and self-service setup across teams
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines and test infrastructure through profiling, optimization, parallelization, and caching to reduce engineer wait time
  • Build paved roads via project templates and golden-path workflows that make best practices the default choice
  • Evaluate and integrate AI coding agents and assistants; measure impact and curate skills to maximize effectiveness
  • Champion engineering excellence by tracking DORA metrics, code coverage, and mutation testing to identify and address bottlenecks
  • Integrate and optimize code review tooling, testing frameworks, and IDE extensions to enhance daily developer experience
