About this role
STR seeks a Model-Based Systems Engineer to lead DoD programs using MBSE methodologies, with expertise in SysML/Cameo and Digital Engineering. The role involves architecting complex systems, mentoring junior engineers, and integrating model-based approaches with domain-specific tools and simulation frameworks across defense mission areas.
What you'll do
- Lead development programs through Systems Engineering lifecycle using MBSE approaches aligned with DoD Digital Engineering goals
- Implement rigorous MBSE methodologies using SysML in Cameo (MagicDraw) with customization and automation
- Mentor and train Systems Engineers on MBSE best practices and tools
- Establish traceability between MBSE models and domain-specific analysis tools, simulation frameworks, and software development
- Collaborate with domain experts and software teams to realize program designs and digital engineering objectives
- Architect software-intensive systems incorporating agile approaches and model-based requirements management
