About this role
Aether Aerospace seeks a Software Engineer specializing in physical modeling and simulation to support Army Aviation modernization at Fort Rucker. You'll help transition legacy simulation systems to a modern integrated digital environment using tools like AFSIM, enabling mission engineering and operational analysis for next-generation aviation capabilities.
What you'll do
- Develop and advance modeling and simulation capabilities within an integrated digital environment
- Support transition from legacy MS&A systems to modernized tools including AFSIM
- Collaborate with Army engineers, operators, and capability developers on mission engineering activities
- Conduct operational simulations, experimentation, and concept development for aviation requirements
- Contribute to software architecture and design for simulation and analysis tools
- Support Army Air Maneuver Battle Lab initiatives for aviation modernization
