About this role

Terran Orbital is hiring a Systems Integration Engineer to design assembly processes, develop test campaigns, and oversee integration and testing of satellite subsystems and vehicles. This weekend shift role (Friday-Sunday, 6 AM–7 PM) in Irvine, CA is hands-on, requiring both troubleshooting and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

What you'll do

  • Design vehicle assembly processes, procedures, and tooling to support satellite integration and testing
  • Develop comprehensive test campaigns and validate electronic and mechanical system integrity at subsystem and system levels
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues through hands-on debugging at the satellite level
  • Manage work orders, drive non-conformances to closure, and implement system improvements based on lessons learned
  • Evaluate design manufacturability and collaborate with engineers and technicians to scale manufacturing and automation
  • Execute day-to-day vehicle integration and test flow operations, including standing for extended periods
