The New York Times seeks a full-stack Software Engineer for its News Product Multimodal team to enhance audio and video features for a comprehensive user experience in journalism. Ideal candidates will create scalable systems and engage with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative multimedia solutions.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement multimodal features for news delivery.
• Create performant and reliable frontend solutions across platforms.
• Build backend services to support media workflows.
• Enhance system quality and address issues using data-driven methods.
• Participate in technical design discussions and support newsroom objectives.
• Provide production support and participate in on-call rotations.
