About this role

Torc is seeking a Software Engineer II to design and develop scalable sensor calibration pipelines for autonomous trucking. You'll work with multi-modal sensor systems (cameras, LiDAR, radar, IMU) to ensure perception accuracy and support the commercialization of autonomous driving technology.

What you'll do

  • Design and architect a scalable sensor calibration pipeline in C++ using libraries like OpenCV and linear algebra tools
  • Develop calibration solutions for multi-modal sensor systems including cameras, LiDAR, radars, and IMU
  • Work with Hardware-in-the-Loop systems and real vehicle testing to optimize sensor spatial orientation
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including commercial partners and customers on calibration implementation
  • Support productization efforts by ensuring software adaptability across varying ADKit sensor configurations
  • Contribute to safety, performance, and robustness of autonomous driving capabilities
