About this role
Torc is seeking a Software Engineer II specializing in simulation to build and maintain virtual testing environments for autonomous trucks. You'll develop simulation-based test scenarios, oversee test execution, analyze results, and serve as a subject matter expert supporting verification and validation efforts across the organization.
What you'll do
- Design and build virtual testing environments combining data replay and simulation for autonomous truck validation
- Develop simulation-based test scenarios and oversee their execution in test environments
- Perform post-test analysis including event log review and troubleshooting
- Provide expertise and support to teams using simulation and data replay tools
- Identify requirements for new simulation tools, infrastructure, and sensor/environment models
- Support testing of virtual driver software and collaborate on V&V activities
