About this role
Trove Brands seeks a Materials and Color Developer to lead seasonal material and color execution for soft goods categories including bags, accessories, and apparel. This role bridges design vision with production reality by managing raw material development, color approval workflows, CAD creation, and maintaining comprehensive material libraries while collaborating with product, design, supply chain, and overseas manufacturing partners.
What you'll do
- Research and develop woven, knit, coated, and technical performance materials; coordinate mill sampling and evaluation
- Own lab dip and color approval process from vendor submission through revisions and bulk production sign-off
- Create seasonal color CADs, colorways, trend boards, and presentation templates using Photoshop and Illustrator
- Maintain physical and digital material and color libraries including swatches, lab dips, standards, and hardware finishes
- Manage daily communication with overseas vendors and monitor bulk submissions for accuracy and compliance
- Travel internationally to evaluate materials, review color accuracy, and strengthen supplier relationships
