Mechanical Test Engineer

True Anomaly seeks a Mechanical Test Engineer to design and execute comprehensive test campaigns for spacecraft mechanical systems in Long Beach, CA. You'll develop test strategies, create documentation, analyze data, and lead root cause investigations to ensure hardware meets mission-critical requirements in a fast-paced defense space environment.

What you'll do

• Define and lead test strategies for mechanical systems including requirements verification, procedure development, and execution oversight
• Author and review mechanical test documentation including plans, procedures, readiness reports, and compliance matrices
• Analyze complex mechanical system test data, resolve anomalies, and lead root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Oversee mechanical test campaigns including acceptance, functional/performance, qualification, and integration testing with full traceability
• Design and build test fixtures and ground support equipment
• Collaborate with mechanical design engineers, systems engineers, and production teams
