About this role
Varda seeks an Embedded Linux Engineer in C++ to develop reliable flight software for spacecraft, satellite buses, and reentry capsules operating in low Earth orbit. You'll own the complete software development lifecycle for safety-critical systems, from requirements and design through testing and on-orbit operations.
What you'll do
- Develop flight software in C++ for embedded processors running bare metal, RTOS, or Linux
- Design and implement software for spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations
- Conduct requirements capture, design trades, and scoping for open-ended problems
- Execute software testing, verification, and validation for safety-critical systems
- Manage all phases from design through integration and flight operational support
- Collaborate across teams to solve problems and ensure system quality
