About this role
Varda seeks a Ground Systems Software Engineer to develop critical ground segment software for spacecraft operations, including telemetry services, mission control interfaces, and test automation. You'll work on real-time systems that support in-orbit pharmaceutical processing missions across lab, test, and operational environments.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain high-reliability telemetry ingestion, scaling, distribution, and commanding services
- Create operator-grade mission control UIs and dashboards optimized for integration and on-orbit operations
- Build flight-software simulations, device emulators, and automated scenario-based testing tools
- Design and productionize mission platform software including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
- Implement robust deployment patterns across lab, test range, and mission network environments
- Establish service templates, test harnesses, and observability tooling as self-service offerings
