Manufacturing Engineer II (Propulsion)

About this role

Varda seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to scale propulsion system production from prototype to high-volume builds. You'll own end-to-end manufacturing processes for valve assemblies, tube fabrication, pressure vessels, and engine integration while driving continuous improvement and increased build cadence.

What you'll do

• Manage complete manufacturing workflows for propulsion systems including valve assembly, tube fabrication, pressure vessel and engine integration
• Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and specifications for high-pressure fluid systems
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for propulsion defects, leaks, and contamination issues
• Establish and enforce cleanliness protocols and contamination control procedures for propellant systems
• Define tooling and test equipment requirements for tube shop and acceptance testing operations
• Collaborate with design and supply chain teams to optimize work cell layouts and support concurrent vehicle production

• Engineering drawings and P&ID interpretation
