About this role
Varda seeks a Build Reliability Engineer II to partner with design and manufacturing teams on spacecraft hardware production, ensuring reliable scaled manufacturing and process controls. You'll lead failure investigations, manage non-conforming product, and support quality and flight reliability across the company's in-orbit vehicle program.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to develop test, manufacturability, and inspection plans for spacecraft hardware
- Contain and manage suspect or non-conforming products, guiding quality inspectors and technicians
- Lead failure investigations in production and test environments to identify root causes and mitigate risks
- Conduct critical peer reviews during design reviews and acceptance/qualification test campaigns
- Support Quality, Flight Reliability, and Mission Assurance functions across vehicle development
- Scale production processes and controls to enable reliable hardware manufacturing at increasing rates
