About this role
Varda seeks a Build Reliability Engineer II to optimize spacecraft production processes and ensure reliable hardware manufacturing at scale. You'll collaborate across design, manufacturing, and quality teams to develop test plans, investigate failures, and support mission-critical operations for in-orbit vehicle systems.
What you'll do
- Develop test, manufacturability, and inspection plans for spacecraft hardware in partnership with design and manufacturing teams
- Manage non-conforming product containment and provide technical guidance to quality, technician, and engineering staff
- Lead failure investigations in production and test environments to identify root causes and improve design and process reliability
- Perform critical peer review of hardware during design reviews and test campaigns
- Support Quality, Flight Reliability, and Mission Assurance functions as needed
- Scale production processes and controls to meet manufacturing rate requirements
