About this role
Varda seeks a Space Process Engineer to lead FMEA and manufacturability efforts for spacecraft hardware production. This role partners with design and manufacturing teams to scale production, ensure process reliability, and maintain quality standards for in-orbit vehicles.
What you'll do
- Develop test, manufacturability, and inspection plans for vehicle hardware in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams
- Manage non-conforming product containment and provide technical guidance to quality inspectors, technicians, and engineers
- Lead failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate production risks
- Scale manufacturing processes to achieve reliable hardware production at operational rate
- Support Quality, Flight Reliability, and Mission Assurance functions across programs
- Drive process improvements and manufacturing optimization for spacecraft components
