About this role
Varda seeks a spacecraft embedded Linux engineer to develop reliable flight software for commercial space vehicles, including satellite buses and reentry capsules. You'll own all aspects of C++ software development from design through testing, ensuring mission-critical performance in orbit.
What you'll do
- Develop reliable flight software for spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations
- Write structured bare metal, RTOS, or Linux-based embedded C++ code for spacecraft processors
- Own complete software lifecycle including design, testing, integration, and verification
- Capture requirements and conduct design trades for open-ended spacecraft problems
- Perform software verification, validation, and performance testing for safety-critical systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on problem-solving and mission-critical software quality
