About this role
Varda is seeking a Spaceship Systems Engineer, Electrical to lead the design, integration, and testing of avionics systems for the Winnebago spacecraft. You'll oversee electrical architecture development, conduct fault analysis and verification testing, and collaborate across teams to ensure mission readiness from launch through reentry operations.
What you'll do
- Design electrical architecture, system diagrams, and budgets for power, telemetry, and mass predictions
- Perform fault analysis and risk mitigation, developing FDIR strategies and operational workarounds
- Conduct comprehensive verification and validation testing for flight and HITL hardware
- Oversee avionics system integration and serve as primary contact for integrated systems investigations
- Design and operate Hardware In The Loop testbeds to simulate spacecraft ground testing
- Develop avionics ground infrastructure, test racks, and support mission operations as an avionics specialist
