Construction Project Engineer

About this role

Vast seeks a Construction Project Engineer to support the development and construction of human-rated space stations in Long Beach. You'll coordinate with vendors, manage project documentation, monitor budgets and timelines, and facilitate communication between engineering teams and field operations.

What you'll do

• Support all aspects of project implementation and coordinate with executive leadership
• Create scopes of work and obtain competitive bids from contractors
• Conduct job walk-downs with vendors, engineers, and supervisors
• Vet vendors with purchasing department for approval and insurance compliance
• Review technical plans and specifications; track RFIs between field and engineering teams
• Monitor project costs, progress, and maintain comprehensive project documentation
