About this role

Vast seeks a Test Engineer to design and execute structural testing for Haven-1 space station modules. You'll lead test campaigns, mentor team members, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to validate primary and secondary structures while managing design reviews and technical documentation.

What you'll do

  • Design, prepare, and execute test campaigns for Haven-1 primary and secondary structures
  • Develop and manage test stands, including manufacturing new fixtures and operating existing resources
  • Mentor engineers and technicians on testing processes and best practices
  • Produce technical documentation including schematics and test procedures
  • Conduct Test Readiness Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, and Critical Design Reviews
  • Perform root cause analysis on test failures and implement corrective solutions
