About this role
Vercel seeks a Software Engineer to develop and enhance the Workflow Development Kit and platform with a focus on AI enablement. You'll build durable, observable tools that empower developers to create AI agents and intelligent workflows, collaborating across teams and engaging with the open-source community.
What you'll do
- Design and implement features for the Workflow Development Kit and Vercel Workflow platform with emphasis on AI integrations, durability, and observability
- Write clean, well-tested code and ensure reliability of workflows including state management and resumption handling for AI agents
- Collaborate with product, design, and infrastructure teams to address technical challenges
- Contribute to and engage with open-source projects aligned with Vercel's community commitment
- Gather developer feedback and drive continuous improvement of AI-enabled workflow features
- Handle comprehensive testing for fault tolerance, pauses, and state persistence in agentic systems
