About this role
Verkada is seeking an AV Engineer for the East Coast to serve as the primary audiovisual resource for the NYC office and regional expansion. You'll manage conference room health, lead installation projects for office buildouts, and provide executive-level AV support across multiple time zones.
What you'll do
- Manage daily AV system health for East Coast and Central offices, including troubleshooting and repairs of audio, video, and conferencing systems
- Provide white-glove AV support for executive meetings and high-visibility company events
- Lead installation work on office buildouts including rack fabrication, cable termination, mounting, and system testing
- Create comprehensive project documentation and as-built records for all AV systems
- Perform daily morning room sweeps and conduct preventive maintenance on AV equipment
- Provide remote troubleshooting support to European offices during timezone overlap hours

- Corporate audiovisual installation (4+ years hands-on experience)
- Rack building, cable pulling, and termination (Cat6, audio, video)
- Video conferencing platforms and hardware (Zoom Rooms, Neat, QSC, DTen)
- AV networking and IT principles; Dante or AV-over-IP preferred
- Q-SYS design and configuration
- Independent prioritization and escalation judgment
- Executive communication and stakeholder management
- Technical documentation interpretation and creation
