About this role

Verkada is seeking a Frontend Engineer to build cloud-managed access control interfaces within their rapidly scaling physical AI platform. You'll own end-to-end frontend development on the React-based Command platform, collaborating across firmware, backend, and product teams to deliver polished user experiences for door and credential management.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain best-in-class user experiences on the Command web platform using React
  • Lead projects from design through implementation with minimal initial specification
  • Build custom components, UI patterns, and ensure cross-browser compatibility
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to shape features
  • Debug and troubleshoot HTTP-related issues and frontend performance
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and code quality standards

  • React and component-based architecture
  • Advanced JavaScript (scoping, closures, prototypes, classes)
  • CSS and responsive design
  • HTTP fundamentals and debugging techniques
  • Backend framework knowledge (at least one)
  • Database systems experience

  • Full-project ownership and technical leadership
