About this role

Virtu seeks a Hardware Platform Engineer to deploy, maintain, and optimize custom FPGA-based hardware systems that power ultra-low-latency trading infrastructure. You'll develop software applications to control and monitor production hardware while evaluating new platforms and technologies in a fast-paced fintech environment.

What you'll do

  • Test, troubleshoot, and validate hardware equipment and FPGA solutions
  • Design and execute hardware platform deployment strategies
  • Develop and maintain software applications for hardware control and monitoring
  • Research and evaluate hardware vendors, features, and technical capabilities
  • Optimize hardware platform performance for ultra-low-latency trading systems
  • Collaborate with trading and infrastructure teams on hardware requirements
