Component Test Engineer
About this role
Voyager Technologies seeks a Component Test Engineer in Mojave, CA to lead development and execution of propulsion and vehicle component testing campaigns. You'll design test procedures, manage instrumentation, conduct failure analysis, and collaborate across engineering teams to ensure flight-worthy systems for space and defense applications.
What you'll do
- Support qualification and acceptance testing of propulsion systems, avionics, pressurant systems, and structural components
- Develop test plans, procedures, and fixturing designs; write test reports and conduct readiness reviews
- Maintain verification matrices and requirement traceability with Systems Engineering
- Select, implement, and manage instrumentation (sensors, transducers, data acquisition systems) for performance monitoring
- Perform post-test data reviews, failure mode analysis, and root cause investigation with corrective action implementation
- Support external supplier testing and coordinate on-vehicle testing timing with integration and assembly schedules
