Master Machinist / CNC Programmer

Penrose, COmidAdded yesterday

About this role

Voyager Technologies seeks an expert Master Machinist/CNC Programmer to program, set up, and operate advanced multi-axis CNC equipment producing high-precision aerospace components in exotic materials. You'll develop SolidWorks CAM programs for complex 5-axis operations, design production tooling, and support the facility's transition to automation-capable manufacturing while maintaining Secret-level security clearance eligibility.

What you'll do

  • Create efficient SolidWorks CAM programs for 5-axis milling and mill-turn operations with toolpath optimization and collision detection
  • Design and model fixtures and production tooling in SolidWorks for precision part production across multiple materials
  • Program, set up, and operate live-tooling lathes with Y-axis capability and validate multi-axis synchronization
  • Execute true 5-axis machining strategies with gouge checking and dynamic material removal simulation on exotic alloys
  • Develop complete manufacturing processes from engineering drawing to finished part, troubleshooting for first-part success
  • Build machine models, create custom control files, and simulate complex setups to ensure safety and accuracy before shop-floor deployment

What they're looking for

  • SolidWorks CAM (5-axis milling, mill-turn, machine modeling)
  • Multi-axis CNC programming and operation (5-axis mills, live-tooling lathes)
  • Exotic alloy machining (Inconel, Titanium, Stainless Steel)
  • Toolpath optimization and collision detection
  • Fixture and work-holding design
  • Machine simulation and custom control file development
  • Problem-solving and process development
  • Aerospace/defense manufacturing familiarity
