About this role

Senior technical leadership role overseeing complex defense and aerospace programs as chief project engineer. You'll direct system architecture, integration strategies, and cross-functional teams while serving as the primary engineering interface to executive leadership and DoD customers.

What you'll do

  • Lead large, multi-phase defense and aerospace programs as chief project engineer or senior technical lead
  • Define system architecture, integration, and verification strategies aligned with mission objectives
  • Oversee engineering execution across multiple Integrated Product Teams and subcontractors for technical, cost, and schedule compliance
  • Chair major design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and ensure technical performance metrics are met
  • Serve as primary engineering interface to executive management and DoD customers for technical interchange meetings
  • Manage risk frameworks, mentor project engineers, and drive process improvements across the organization
