About this role

Senior technical leader for complex defense and aerospace programs, responsible for system architecture, multi-team integration, and executive-level engineering oversight. Acts as chief project engineer providing strategic direction across design, performance, and risk management while serving as primary interface to DoD customers and senior management.

What you'll do

  • Serve as chief project engineer or senior technical lead for large multi-phase defense and aerospace programs
  • Define system architecture, integration, and verification strategies aligned with customer objectives
  • Oversee engineering execution across Integrated Product Teams and major subcontractors for cost, schedule, and technical compliance
  • Lead design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and ensure technical performance metrics are met
  • Manage technical baseline definition, configuration management, and supplier design inputs
  • Provide executive-level interface to DoD customers and internal leadership on technical matters
