About this role

Vulcan Elements seeks a Quality Engineer to establish and maintain robust quality processes at its pilot rare-earth magnet manufacturing facility in North Carolina. This role supports ISO 9001 compliance, drives process improvements, and helps scale manufacturing practices for future production sites serving defense, aerospace, and automotive industries.

What you'll do

  • Serve as primary quality representative for pilot manufacturing operations
  • Develop and implement production quality processes while supporting manufacturing operations
  • Drive process improvements and deploy digital quality systems
  • Partner with Manufacturing, R&D, Process Engineering, and Analytical Lab to resolve issues and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure quality requirements are understood and consistently applied across daily production
  • Support scalable manufacturing practices that can be transferred to future facilities
