About this role
Join Waymo's Software Non-Determinism Diagnostics team as a 2027 summer intern to design and build infrastructure for identifying and resolving non-deterministic behavior in autonomous driving systems. You'll work on real challenges that directly impact Level 4 autonomous vehicle technology while developing your skills in systems debugging and diagnostics.
What you'll do
- Design and implement infrastructure and tooling to diagnose software non-determinism in autonomous driving systems
- Investigate and resolve non-deterministic execution patterns across Waymo codebases
- Collaborate with software engineers and researchers to identify root causes of non-deterministic behavior
- Develop diagnostic tools and processes for tracing and analyzing system behavior
- Contribute to improving reliability and consistency of autonomous driving software
