What you'll do
- Lead safety analyses and assess risks for autonomous vehicle systems
- Participate in design reviews to ensure safety mitigations are effective
- Guide adoption of safety standards and industry best practices
- Evaluate effectiveness of risk control strategies and identify new hazards
- Implement and improve System Safety processes
- Integrate System Safety Methodology with Waymo's safety framework

- Bachelor's degree in related technical fields
- Technical project management
- 7+ years of safety engineering experience
- Inductive/deductive safety analysis proficiency
- Systems Engineering principles application
- Risk management expertise
- Programming in C, C++, and Python
