About this role

Wyetech seeks a Software Engineer to develop and maintain complex software systems for federal government clients, including analytics platforms, real-time systems, and large-scale data processing applications. You'll work individually or collaboratively to design, test, and troubleshoot software components while ensuring alignment with system requirements and leveraging both custom and commercial solutions.

What you'll do

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems across diverse domains (analytics, algorithms, real-time processing, business systems)
  • Design and implement software components following established methodologies and documented requirements
  • Review, test, and validate software for adherence to design specifications and document test results
  • Resolve software defects and problem reports from testing and operational environments
  • Evaluate hardware/software trade-offs and recommend use of COTS/GOTS products versus custom development
  • Provide input on system-level design decisions, requirements analysis, and architectural recommendations
