About this role

Wyetech seeks a Software Engineer 3 to design and develop complex software systems for federal government customers, including analytics platforms, real-time systems, and large-scale data processing applications. The role involves full lifecycle software development from design through maintenance, with focus on Unix environments, configuration management, and integration of commercial and open-source components.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy complex software systems across diverse domains including analytics and real-time processing
  • Develop and maintain the GHOSTGEM software suite, including DINO and related applications
  • Review and test software components against design requirements; document and resolve test findings
  • Perform shell scripting and Unix system development with attention to hardware/software trade-offs
  • Integrate COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries with developed applications
  • Contribute to system design decisions and requirements analysis from system-level to individual component specifications
