Memphis, Tennessee; Southaven, MississippimidAdded 3 days ago

About this role

Join SpaceXAI's data center engineering team to design and optimize thermal and fluid systems for next-generation AI facilities. As a mechanical engineer, you'll serve as the subject matter expert on HVAC, cooling, and fluid management systems, working across design, analysis, and manufacturing to build world-class data center infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Own thermal management and fluid systems including chillers, pumps, coolers, heat exchangers, and building pressurization across data center builds
  • Perform CAD modeling and 3D design of fluid and HVAC systems, coordinating across engineering disciplines
  • Conduct fluid analyses for pressure balance, component allowables, and consumables planning
  • Collaborate with procurement, construction, and other teams to select and source equipment meeting timeline, cost, and performance requirements
  • Ensure manufacturability of designs and work with production teams to establish reliable manufacturing processes
  • Support testing, validation, and activation of data center systems

What they're looking for

  • CAD modeling and design (REVIT preferred)
  • Thermal management and cooling system design
  • Fluid mechanics and pressure analysis
  • HVAC systems and air handling

Likely interview questions

  • Describe your experience designing and analyzing fluid systems such as pumps, chillers, or heat exchangers—what was your specific role and what metrics did you optimize for?
  • Tell us about a time you had to deconflict your mechanical design with other engineering disciplines in a 3D environment. How did you approach the problem?
