Network Engineer (Supercomputer Infrastructure)

Memphis, Tennessee; Southaven, MississippimidAdded today

About this role

SpaceXAI seeks a network engineer to design, deploy, and operate mission-critical networks powering AI supercomputer campuses. You'll manage high-bandwidth, low-latency fabrics supporting GPU clusters, handle infrastructure automation and compliance, and troubleshoot production issues in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement highly available, low-latency networks for AI training and inference clusters with advanced routing and redundancy
  • Deploy and maintain supercomputer data center networks using 400G/800G equipment and modern network vendors
  • Build network automation tooling including configuration management, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code frameworks
  • Coordinate network changes and maintenance windows with stakeholders, including after-hours work when needed
  • Troubleshoot network issues affecting cluster performance and document root cause analyses
  • Provide on-call support during cluster operations and monitor fabric health using telemetry and performance metrics

What they're looking for

  • Layer 2 and Layer 3 network design and troubleshooting
  • Data center networking with Cisco, Arista, Juniper, or NVIDIA Spectrum-X switches
  • GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
  • RoCEv2 Ethernet and AI/HPC fabric experience
  • Understanding of AI training traffic patterns and collective operations
  • Network security and compliance (ITAR, NIST, segmentation)
  • Optical multiplexing and high-speed interconnects
  • Monitoring and telemetry tools for fabric health
