About this role

SpaceXAI seeks an experienced Operational Technology Engineer to design, implement, and optimize industrial control systems for next-generation hyperscale data centers and power generation facilities. This high-ownership role combines deep expertise in automation and mission-critical infrastructure with fast-paced execution across multidisciplinary teams managing BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and PLC systems at scale.

What you'll do

  • Design and deliver end-to-end OT infrastructure for hyperscale cooling and power control systems, including facility networks and industrial control networks
  • Manage hands-on design and sustainment of Juniper fiber/copper networks in OT environments with segmentation and industrial integration
  • Implement secure OT networks supporting BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, and Ethernet/IP protocols with robust segmentation and cybersecurity
  • Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, facilities, IT/OT networking, and construction teams to integrate control systems with campus infrastructure
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize system availability and resilience
  • Mentor junior engineers and establish OT design standards, programming standards, and best practices

What they're looking for

  • Industrial automation and control systems (BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLC)
  • Juniper network architecture (EX/QFX series) with VRF and segmentation
  • Industrial communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, Ethernet/IP, DNP3)
  • OT network design, cybersecurity hardening, and secure remote access
  • Systems administration (Proxmox, VMware, SQL databases, RAID, UPS)
  • Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis in mission-critical environments
  • Cross-functional coordination and technical documentation
  • Predictive analytics and advanced monitoring systems
