Power Systems Engineer (Data Center Infrastructure)
About this role
SpaceXAI seeks a Power Systems Engineer to design and implement electrical infrastructure for advanced data centers in Memphis, TN and Southaven, MS. You'll lead the design of power distribution, generators, UPS systems, and controls while collaborating with MEP teams and facility technicians in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
What you'll do
- Design electrical power distribution systems, switchgear, motor control centers, and grounding for data center facilities
- Specify and integrate UPS units, standby generators, automatic transfer switches, and power monitoring systems
- Perform load flow analysis, equipment evaluation, and system coordination to ensure compatibility with facility power budgets
- Provide troubleshooting support to facility technicians and coordinate electrical installations with utility personnel
- Ensure all designs comply with NFPA 70E, NFPA 70 NEC, IBC, and other applicable electrical codes
- Design lighting, fire alarm, lightning protection, and data/communications systems for buildings and sites
