Site Reliability Engineer - Datacenter
About this role
SpaceXAI seeks a Site Reliability Engineer focused on datacenter hardware to manage firmware analysis, diagnose complex hardware failures, and maintain vendor relationships. You'll ensure reliability and performance of high-performance computing infrastructure through proactive monitoring, rigorous testing, and knowledge documentation.
What you'll do
- Analyze firmware packages and hardware specifications for security vulnerabilities, compatibility, and safety issues before deployment
- Investigate and diagnose hardware failures, including intermittent or ambiguous issues, through rigorous testing and data analysis
- Manage vendor relationships and RMA processes, negotiating resolutions and holding vendors accountable
- Collaborate with Datacenter Operations Technicians to troubleshoot and optimize hardware systems
- Develop monitoring tools and scripts to detect hardware anomalies and minimize downtime
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for hardware-related issues
