About this role
Xometry seeks an experienced aerospace and defense engineer to serve as a customer-facing Solutions Engineer, blending technical expertise with sales support and project management. The role involves partnering with account executives to identify manufacturing solutions, manage complex projects, and provide design-for-manufacturability guidance to Fortune 1000 customers.
What you'll do
- Partner with Account Executives to drive account growth and customer retention in aerospace and defense
- Identify and address manufacturing challenges, including design-for-manufacturability (DFM) issues
- Assist in generating accurate and competitive quotes by combining customer, partner, and system knowledge
- Conduct onsite customer visits and provide technical perspective on major projects
- Manage complex opportunities from discovery through delivery with oversight and coordination
- Gather customer insights and feedback to inform sales strategies and align offerings with capabilities
