Join Zello's Quality Engineering team as an AI Generalist to modernize testing and tooling across a voice-first communication platform serving 175+ million users. You'll leverage AI to automate manual testing workflows, build tools adopted by engineering teams, and rotate through iOS, Android, Web, and backend squads to ship real code—all while discovering which engineering domain excites you most.

What you'll do

  • Use AI tools and agents to accelerate test creation, execution, and triage across Zello's platform
  • Build AI harnesses and tools that the QE and broader engineering teams adopt into daily workflows
  • Perform targeted manual testing and convert repetitive checks into durable automation
  • Rotate into engineering squads (iOS, Android, Web, backend) to contribute production code with AI assistance
  • Identify quality gaps before release and propose solutions rather than just reporting bugs
  • Communicate clearly with distributed teams, surfacing blockers early

  • Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Swift, Kotlin, or Go
  • Test automation and test framework design
  • Problem-solving and independent initiative
