Developmental Test/Environmental Test Engineer

About this role

Zone 5 Technologies is seeking a Developmental Test/Environmental Test Engineer to lead the environmental testing and design integration for advanced drone systems. Candidates should have a strong background in military standards and systems engineering, particularly regarding MIL-STD-810 qualifications.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute environmental test plans compliant with MIL-STD-810
• Collaborate with design teams to enhance reliability based on test insights
• Translate qualification needs into design guidelines for early-phase reviews
• Conduct testing across a variety of critical environments
• Coordinate EMI/EMC testing with external labs
• Serve as technical point of contact for third-party testing logistics

What they're looking for

• 5+ years in aerospace or defense engineering
• Expertise in MIL-STD-810 environmental testing
• Experience in root cause failure analysis
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• Hands-on with test setups and instrumentation
• Ability to work cross-functionally
• Supporting missile systems in DoD environments
• Bachelor's in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering
