Guidance Navigation Controls (GNC) Engineer III/IV

About this role

Zone 5 Technologies is seeking an experienced Guidance Navigation Controls (GNC) Engineer to contribute to the development of flight control software for unmanned aircraft systems. This role involves close collaboration with engineering teams to design, analyze, and build advanced software components while running simulations and generating code for embedded systems.

What you'll do

• Design and build flight control software for UAS
• Develop software components for flight tests
• Create and modify software modules in avionics
• Conduct controls analysis for stability and performance
• Run high-fidelity simulations
• Support aircraft integration and testing

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years in flight controls engineering for UAS
• Proficient in Matlab/Simulink
• Strong analytical skills
• Effective communication skills
• Collaboration across disciplines
