Zone 5 Technologies is seeking a GNC Engineer III/IV to join their San Luis Obispo team, focusing on the development and analysis of flight control software for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). The role involves collaboration with engineering teams for design, simulation, and integration of software components to enhance flight capabilities.

What you'll do

• Design and analyze flight control software for UAS
• Develop software components for flight testing
• Run high-fidelity simulations for software and hardware
• Generate auto-code for embedded systems
• Conduct peer reviews and collaborate across disciplines
• Support integration and testing for flight systems

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years in flight controls engineering
• Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills
• Experience with UAS flight controls software
