Software Engineer III

About this role

ZoomInfo seeks a mid-level full-stack engineer for their nascent DAAS team in Waltham, Massachusetts. You'll design and maintain backend systems using Java and Node.js, build scalable event-driven architectures with Kafka, and have the opportunity to shape the initiative's technical direction.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java and Node.js with frameworks like NestJS
• Build scalable systems leveraging event streaming technologies such as Kafka
• Develop and implement RESTful APIs following best practices and design patterns
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and platform functionalities
• Refactor and optimize existing codebases for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Work with cloud technologies for deployment, monitoring, and scaling applications

• Java and Node.js backend development
• SQL Server and/or MongoDB database design and querying
• RESTful API design and development
• Event streaming with Kafka
• Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP preferred)
• Docker, Kubernetes, or container orchestration
• Software development best practices (SOLID, design patterns, unit testing)
• Logging, monitoring, and alerting tools
