About this role
Zuora is seeking a Software Engineer III to design and develop scalable backend services and AI-integrated applications for their subscription and revenue management platform. You'll work on full-stack capabilities, bridge data science and production systems, and help build intelligent features using modern cloud-native architecture in a hybrid Foster City office setting.
What you'll do
- Design and develop high-performance backend services and frontend applications with emphasis on customization and scalability
- Build end-to-end product capabilities across full stack with focus on engineering fundamentals and quality
- Collaborate with Data Science, Product, UX, and Platform teams to integrate AI/ML into product workflows and deploy intelligent systems
- Create APIs, services, pipelines, and tooling to operationalize data science solutions and scale them reliably
- Write clean, maintainable, scalable code following software engineering best practices and continuous improvement mindset
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to enhance development velocity and code quality

- Full-stack software development (5+ years)

- Microservices architecture and Spring Boot
- Relational databases (Postgres, SQL, AWS RDS)
- Python and data modeling
- Agentic model architectures and RAG-based systems
- REST APIs, Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform, React/TypeScript
