Cybersecurity Tools Engineer
About this role
9th Way Insignia seeks a Cybersecurity Tools Engineer to support the VA's COSE program, engineering and maintaining enterprise security tools for detection, prevention, and compliance. You will configure tool integrations, develop implementation standards, analyze performance, and support operational enhancements across a critical government cybersecurity infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Engineer, configure, and integrate cybersecurity tools spanning SIEM, vulnerability management, EDR, and compliance platforms
- Develop implementation plans, configuration standards, and technical documentation for security tools
- Integrate tool data with security operations, ticketing, and continuous monitoring processes
- Analyze tool performance, coverage gaps, and data quality to identify improvements
- Support upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting of security tool capabilities
- Provide operational handoff and knowledge transfer for security tool implementations
