About this role
Formlabs seeks a Mechanical Engineer for a graduate role to design and develop precision 3D printing systems. You'll prototype mechanisms, create detailed CAD designs, and collaborate with manufacturing teams to bring innovative products from concept to mass production.
What you'll do
- Prototype new mechanisms and research 3D printing challenges
- Analyze, test, validate, and iterate on electro-mechanical systems
- Create detailed CAD designs and technical drawings
- Collaborate with sourcing and manufacturing teams on design-to-production
- Select materials and manufacturing techniques for optimal part performance
- Build and test prototypes in the company's equipped workshop
