About this role
Mid-level engineer role developing and maintaining Microsoft Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) for the VA Office of Academic Affiliations within a cloud modernization and data governance initiative. Work involves creating low-code business solutions, supporting SSRS-to-Power BI migrations, ensuring Section 508 compliance, and integrating with SharePoint and SQL Server databases in a remote, contractor-based environment.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate workflows within the VA Enterprise Cloud framework
- Build Power BI reports and dashboards using Report Server, gateways, and designated workspaces
- Support SSRS-to-Power BI migration initiatives under senior developer guidance
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, SQL Server databases, and .NET applications
- Write SQL queries and manage data connections supporting Power Platform solutions
- Ensure all solutions meet Section 508, ADA, and WCAG 2.0 accessibility compliance requirements
