Software Developer (.NET Core)
About this role
Mid-level .NET Core developer supporting the VA's Data Management Center, maintaining and enhancing a portfolio of government web applications while ensuring compliance, security, and accessibility standards. You'll work on modernizing legacy systems to Azure and ASP.NET Core while sustaining active applications under federal oversight.
What you'll do
- Develop and modify C#, .NET Core MVC, and .NET Framework v4.8 applications with JavaScript and CSS
- Write SQL queries, stored procedures, and maintain database objects for application functionality
- Perform hands-on coding, unit testing, debugging, and technical documentation
- Support defect resolution, break/fix activity, and system sustainment
- Ensure Section 508, ADA, and WCAG 2.0 Level A/AA accessibility compliance
- Use Azure DevOps for source control, work tracking, and CI/CD pipeline management
