About this role
Accenture Federal Services seeks a GCP Data Engineer to design and build secure, scalable data pipelines and architectures supporting federal data modernization and migrations. You'll develop ETL solutions using GCP native services, optimize performance, ensure data governance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on mission-critical analytics initiatives.
What you'll do
- Design and develop robust data pipelines and ETL processes using GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Pub/Sub)
- Implement performance tuning strategies including partitioning, joins optimization, and shuffle optimization
- Migrate legacy data stores and ETL systems to cloud-native GCP architectures
- Build scalable batch and real-time streaming pipelines in Python, SQL, and Apache Beam
- Establish data governance, quality checks, and secure access controls aligned with federal security requirements
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes
